Josie part 2

Sometimes the souls you never knew you needed find their way into your life at exactly the right time.

For Jen, that soul was Josie.

Josie was a senior dog, discarded in the Oklahoma countryside. Somehow, this funny little gremlin, full of grunts, snorts, and endless personality, found her way across the miles and straight into Jen's life.

And she arrived when Jen needed her most.

After losing Libby, one of the great loves of her life, Jen was carrying a grief that felt impossible to put into words.

Jen thought this discarded little senior needed saving.

It turned out Josie was the one who helped save her.

Josie became a reminder that life is made up of both joy and sorrow. Sometimes the sorrow stays longer than we think we can bear. But it only hurts so deeply because it was preceded by an extraordinary amount of love.

And eventually, if we keep our hearts open, joy finds its way back.

We love again.
We rescue again.
Another soul finds us.

That is Josie's story.

And it is part of the reason we dream so big.

Because somewhere tonight, there is another Josie.

The senior.
The medically complicated one.
The funny little gremlin someone decided wasn't worth keeping.

We dream of a future where age doesn't make you disposable and homelessness doesn't make you invisible.

A future where animals like these are seen, given time, given care, and given the opportunity to become someone's entire world.

Because this dream has never just been about building buildings.

It's about building a different future for animals like Josie.
