ARTIC NOW ABBY
Arctic / Abby was a breeder surrender at the Blue Pearl emergency hospital. The story was She sustained injuries while at the home of the breeder by the other dogs. The vets said Her injuries didn't quite match with what was told to the emergency hospital by the breeder. Abby was in ICU at the hospital for a few days and not getting better based on the ivy meds that the vets were giving her. So they knew there was something deeper that had to be taken care of. They weren't sure what they would find by doing a surgery so we didn't know the outcome of how happy would do. The surgery revealed that Abby had a punctured lung and some bone fragments floating around in her stomach and had to have surgery. Always and Furever went all in and went ahead and got Abby the surgery she needed where she could have a full life once she was healed. I had the privilege of picking her up and fostering her for a few weeks and then drove her to her new home in the Cleveland Ohio area.
Abby has quite a life in ohio. She has a really big yard and two big brothers that are golden retrievers that little sister bosses them around. She does not like the swim but she likes to watch her brother swim. She is bonded to her brother named Finn it was also rescued in Kansas City. Abby gets to go camping where she has acres and acres to run. She wears a GPS collar so her dad's know where she is. It takes one whistle and calling her name and she comes back and looks at them like "WHAT DO YOU WANT I WAS HAVING FUN". Abby loves everyone that she meets. She's the youngest in the house but she runs the house. She is loved deeply and sleeps in the bed. She will take her paw and tap on whoever she's sleeping with that night so that they rub her belly until she falls asleep. This is the life she deserved and that ALWAYS AND FUREVER gave her the chance to have this life. Abby is a very happy girl thanks to this rescue. She has her two dads wrapped around her little Paw.
Always and Furever took a chance and went all in to save this puppy who's now living her best life in Ohio. I am forever grateful for all this rescue does for so many. Abby is just one of so many stories that should touch your heart everyday of this hundred days.
